Dr. Clay was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from UC Davis with a BS in Biological Sciences in 1970 and from the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis in 1975. After working at the Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital for 10 years, he opened the Chanticleer Veterinary Hospital in 1985. Additionally, Dr. Clay has been the staff veterinarian for the Santa Cruz SPCA since 2000. His outside interests include fishing and golf and all sports--especially baseball. He is married, with two adult children and two grandchildren.
Dr. Condreay enjoyed growing up in Orange County--it was full of animals and nature. She attended Cal State Long Beach and received her BS in Marine Biology. After working for Safeway for fifteen years she longed for a more fulfilling career. She began working as a veterinary technician at Los Gatos Dog and Cat Hospital. Encouraged to continue her education, she attended and graduated from Washington State University with a DVM degree in 1995. In 2004 she finally settled at Chanticleer Vet Hospital working with Dr. Clay. When not busy doing what she loves, you can find Dr. Condreay working in her garden and enjoying time with her "furry-four legged children.”
Noelle has worked at CVH since 2003. She started as a kennel technician and is now the office manager and receptionist. Along with all the furry friends she meets at the hospital, she enjoys getting to know their families too. Noelle and her family, including daughter Sadie, hubby Mike, and their two cats live in Scotts Valley.
Paige has been at CVH since 2011. She will welcome you every visit with a hug and smile even if she is busy she will treat you like an old friend.
Rhi just joined us this year fresh out of Cal Poly. She has dreams of becoming a veterinarian herself, but is taking the time to get some hands on education before running off to vet school. She has experience with many animals big and small and looks forward to meeting you and your four legged family members.
Shawn has been the head kennel tech at CVH since 1990. she is dedicated to the care of every pet that comes into the hospital. She is the proud mother of three grown boys. Shawn lives in Santa Cruz with her twin sister and her one eyed Chihuahua Minnie Mouse.
Gina has been with us at CVH since 2012. She has adds smiles to everyone's faces and keeps people laughing on the long days. Gina loves to spoil all the pets that stay at the hospital.
