Dr. Clay was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from UC Davis with a BS in Biological Sciences in 1970 and from the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis in 1975. After working at the Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital for 10 years, he opened the Chanticleer Veterinary Hospital in 1985. Additionally, Dr. Clay has been the staff veterinarian for the Santa Cruz SPCA since 2000. His outside interests include fishing and golf and all sports--especially baseball. He is married, with two adult children and two grandchildren.
Dr. Condreay enjoyed growing up in Orange County--it was full of animals and nature. She attended Cal State Long Beach and received her BS in Marine Biology. After working for Safeway for fifteen years she longed for a more fulfilling career. She began working as a veterinary technician at Los Gatos Dog and Cat Hospital. Encouraged to continue her education, she attended and graduated from Washington State University with a DVM degree in 1995. In 2004 she finally settled at Chanticleer Vet Hospital working with Dr. Clay. When not busy doing what she loves, you can find Dr. Condreay working in her garden and enjoying time with her "furry-four legged children.”
Noelle has worked at CVH since 2003. She started as a kennel technician and is now the office manager and receptionist. Along with all the furry friends she meets at the hospital, she enjoys getting to know their families too. Noelle and her family, including daughter Sadie, hubby Mike, two cats, and one dog live in Scotts Valley.
Laura has been the head technician at CVH since 2006. She and her husband, Emmanuel, live in Watsonville, they just welcomed baby Neveah in April, completing their happy family that includes two cats and two dogs.
Shawn has been the head kennel tech at CVH since 1990. She is dedicated to the care of every pet that comes into the hospital. Shawn is the proud mother of three grown boys. She lives is Santa Cruz with her twin sister Renee, niece Cassandra, and their two dogs Conan and S’more.
